Support the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office from non stop monies going to Federal Monitor

You undoubtedly are familiar with the situation where a federal monitor has been overseeing the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for well over a decade.  This “oversight” has cost Maricopa County taxpayers around $350 million.   While President Trump has backed the DOJ off of local law enforcement, this will not help MCSO because the oversight is being controlled by a federal judge.  THERE IS NO END IN SIGHT and there is no incentive for the monitor to wrap things up.

What can you do?  On Wednesday, the federal monitor will host a community meeting to hear how community members view the MCSO.  The results of the meeting will be relayed back to the judge.  In the past, these meetings seemed to have a select group of people who oppose MCSO.  This needs to change – the majority needs to be heard.

TALKING POINTS:

-This has gone on long enough – it has cost far too much.

-These resources should go to hiring more deputies, pay raises, training, and equipment – not in a monitor’s or the ACLU’s pocket.

-We believe in Sheriff Sheridan – and support him to keep our community safe.
